Bonus event! Join State Treasurer Mike Pieciak, Vermont Green FC, and local leaders from the Vermont Outdoor Business Alliance for a press conference at 11 AM on Thursday, February 5 in the Cedar Creek Room highlighting a legislative proposal creating a state-sponsored Vermont Green FC license plate to fund environmental justice and the outdoor recreation economy.


Advocacy Day Pro Tips


Tabling: Registrants for tabling can arrive just before 8:15 at the Pavilion building to set up. Up to 15 tables can be used for tabling. The tables are on wheels and need to be 'clicked together' to the right of the podium in facing it. 


Directions

  • Parking at the State House in Montpelier is available via metered on-street spots, paid downtown lots, free spots on Court Street, and visitor spaces on Governor Aiken Ave. Parking fills early and free, all-day parking is available at the Department of Labor at 5 Green Mountain Dr.

  • Pavilion Building: See map for directions. At security, registrant names (RSVP here) will be on a list and no ID is required.

Email a personal note to your lawmaker: Invite them to lunch at 12pm at the Pavilion Building, Rm 110 for "Outdoor Rec Conversation with their Constituents." Email Jill (jill@maidstonepr.com) if you hear back.

  2. Send them an email to:

    • Introduce yourself, your organization and where you live;

    • Invite them to the 2026 Vermont Outdoor Recreation Day luncheon on Thursday, February 5th from 12:00 pm -1:00 pm in Rm 110 in the Pavilion Building.

  3. Example: "Dear Representative/Senator ___________, My name is _________ and I am a (job/organization) from ___ town and I am planning on attending the 2026 Vermont Outdoor Rec Day in Montpelier on February 5th, 2026.
